- What does archival
quality mean?
Archival quality
materials have been tested to ensure that their acidic content falls within
safe levels.
- What does acid-free
mean?
Acid will cause your
photos to deteriorate. It is best practice to use acid-free products to hold
your prints in scrapbook albums. This will slow their aging process.
- Do you offer hot
stamping or gold plates for personalization of scrapbook albums such as
(monograms, names and dates, event names, etc.)?
We do not offer hot
stamping or engraved plates at this time. However, we anticipate offering this
service in the future.
- What type of
mounting adhesive is best for my photos and scrapbooking embellishments?
We
suggest Hermafix double faced adhesive stickers or Scotch Adhesive Transfer
Tape. Both are safe for your photos, scrapbooking embellishments and scrapbook
albums.
- What is the
difference between pages and mats?
An album page is used
hold the mat. A page may have an acetate covering or it may be open faced. An
album mat is used to hold the prints. Album mats may be peel and stick or slip
in. In some cases, a scrapbook album’s page and mat are one in the same.
- How do reversible
mats work in scrapbook albums?
A reversible mat has a
square outer dimension and therefore can be turned horizontally or vertically
to give you the desired end result. For example, a single 5x7 mat reversed
would give you a 7X5 mat.
